We support cruelty-free ethics and maintain those values in our own studio. We test all of our candles and skin-care directly on ourselves and share with our family and friends. Absolutely none of our products or materials are tested on animals. 

With every purchase, we choose to donate to a Pittsburgh non-profit, Rabbit Wranglers. RW is an all volunteer-staffed network of foster homes whose focus is on helping the neediest rabbits – those with medical or behavior issues. Their purposes are to: rescue abused, neglected and abandoned rabbits; assist shelters/rescue organizations with their high maintenance cases and overflow population; provide rabbits safe harbor and state of the art care; and find them loving and permanent indoor homes. The organization also provides education to the public about the unique nature and proper care of these intelligent companion animals.

Chez Lapin also frequently supports other charity organizations such as: The Ohio House Rabbit RescuePETA, and The Humane Society of the United States.

Chez Lapin is a proud certified member of PETA's Beauty Without Bunnies program. Being a member ensures that we and our suppliers have been verified and contractually agree to not conduct, commission, pay for, or allow any tests on animals for our ingredients, formulations, or finished products. 

One of the great perks of working with natural ingredients is that there are no commercial additives included (pure, clean awesomeness)! However, the only downside to that is naturally occurring variations are possible and some of our end products are reactive to the external elements (i.e. direct sun, humidity). We craft our candles embracing the fact that every small batch could be slightly different than the next. To us, the benefits of natural materials and the uniqueness of every batch is what makes each of our products special. However, if something seems wrong with your product or you believe it is not performing the way in which it should, please do not hesitate to contact us.

For Businesses:

We can take our experience in perfume blending and brand design to create a unique fragrance that tells a story of your brand. Our Private Label creation process takes 4-6 months, depending on the complexity of the fragrance and sourcing. Our minimum quantity requirement depends on the vessel type but typically begins at 48 pieces.

For Weddings/ Special Events:

We do not offer custom fragrance for Special Events. However, we do offer our signature fragrances in a variety of vessels to fit your event needs. We pour nearly 30 luxury fragrances and we'd love the opportunity to send samples or schedule a visit to our showroom so we can find the best solution for you. Please contact us to get this project started.


The standard fulfillment time for our handmade products is 2-3 business days after placing your order. This allows time for your goodies to cure before getting packaged. You’ll get a notification email with a tracking number as soon as your package ships.

Absolutely! We offer free market/ event pick-ups, as well as pick-ups from our Workshop in Lawrenceville, Pittsburgh, PA (USPS zip code 15201). You simply choose either option at the Checkout.

Do not fret! When dealing with fragile vessels, it is not totally uncommon for damage to occur. Simply send us an email via please contact us at with a few images of the damaged products in the packaging as received. These photos help us to file a claim with the postal carrier. We will swiftly send a replacement at no cost to you.
