2020 was a wild one, to say the least. Chez Lapin, like many other small businesses, was forced to adapt day by day through the challenges of safety, shutdowns, and health. At the end of it all, I remain so grateful to you for your support and for inviting us into your homes (via our goodies of course! #socialdistance). Without you, we may not have been left standing. So in honor of the New Year, I wanted to re-cap some of Chez Lapin's favorite 2020 moments and give ya a sneak-peak at what's ahead! 🎉 2020 was our Best Year in Business yet (record breaking candle and skin-care sales!) We refined our candle recipes to be even cleaner than before We successfully launched a full re-brand of Chez Lapin (wheh, no small feat) In order to protect our new brand, we then trademarked Chez Lapin's cute, new logo + name 💪 We became a certified member of PETA’s Beauty Without Bunnies program, sealing the deal on our commitment to the cruelty free movement We made the commitment to using only recyclable and/or compostable materials- from packaging to containers and everything in-between! We contributed to saving and enriching the lives of so many rabbits through our favorite non-profits What does 2021 have in store for us at Chez Lapin? The creation of our very own Lavender field for use in our products 👩🌾 More Friends! We’re expanding our Wholesale Network so that you can source and sniff our stuff closer to your homes New Product Additions (as always, inspired by Nature!) Rejoining our favorite festivals and retail pop-ups when it’s safe to do so and last but not least, contributing more and more to our mission of inspiring eco-conscious, cruelty-free, and natural living by handcrafting products that you can feel good about having in your home and on your body! I am so ready for what this year brings! Thank you for letting Chez Lapin create a cleaner, brighter world. I am honored.

My inspiration for crafting new home fragrances comes from a wide variety of sources. Some products resulted from a desire to recreate experiences and feelings from past travels or old memories. Others were pulled from the textures and colors of a subject to activate a new sense. But the creation of a fragrance doesn't stop at the idea. The process consists of finding a new way to fabricate a concept while using a limited scope of ingredients. The product must strike a balance between being sustainable in nature, safe to burn, and made up of eco-friendly ingredients - all while resulting in a product that is both captivating and economical. The process requires me to dabble in a wide range of practices, design, marketing, psychology, and hard science. It sounds like a lot, but seriously - it is fun! From time to time, I have to pinch myself to remember that Chez Lapin is real. To remember that this business is only a concept that I took from paper to reality - just like each individual fragrance! With that said, I wanted to share some of my design concepts for Chez Lapin's candle fragrances. It's one thing to read fragrance's short description online; it is another thing entirely to feel and understand the visuals along with the description. Enjoy! PETITE FLEUR |
