PROPER CANDLE ETIQUETTE
- Blowing out your candle can be bad for a few reasons; You can splash wet wax over any nearby surfaces as well as cause extra smoke from the flame by feeding it extra air. By using a bell snuffer, you can 'suffocate' and extinguish the flame in a cleaner fashion.
- Sacré bleu! Did you know that in many traditions, blowing out candles that you've lit for religious intentions, releases the purpose of it's use. Bell snuffers have been used for centuries as a ceremonious way to honor the intent of the practice.
